About Your Amara Portrait Experience
Your session starts in the weeks leading up to the photoshoot. First we begin with a consultation that is typically done on the phone or with FaceTime/skype to get to know you and talk about the type of portrait session you want and how to prepare. At this point we can go through the clothes you would like to wear and any other items you would like to bring. On the day of the shoot, we provide a professional hair and makeup artist who only uses the very best products on your hair and face - the tiniest details are very important!
The portrait session itself usually lasts between 2 to 3 hours whether in a studio or on location. Having you relaxed, comfortable and feeling gorgeous is our priority. Paul will guide you through expert posing and beautiful lighting. Multiple wardrobe changes and backdrops ensure we capture your many different sides. We promise an incredible day resulting in the most beautiful images you have ever owned. From the final retouching of your images to the museum quality glass in our frames, we believe in providing the best our industry has to offer.
A week to ten days later we arrange a private reveal session to see your beautiful portraits finished, printed and ready to take home and enjoy for a life- time.

Frequently Asked Questions…
How much does It cost?
Your session fee is £49 for the photo shoot sitting or £149 if you would like professional hair and makeup styling included. You decide which photo collection you want to purchase when you see your fully edited photos during your photo viewing. You only purchase what you love. Individual photographs start at £35 and Photo collections start from £699 and go up from there. All photographs purchased include the digital file.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Payments can be made electronically, through PayPal and Stripe. You can pay with your credit card through Stripe, or if you have a PayPal account, you can pay through PayPal Express.
How long before my prints will be ready to see?
Once your photoshoot is complete we normally organise the reveal session within one or two weeks, whatever suits you best.
Do you offer framed prints?
Yes we do! Please ask for the options available at your reveal session. Our framed prints are collection only as unfortunately we do not ship frames due to the cost and risk of shipping glass. I have tried many different types of shipping container, but glass just doesn't travel well!
Location or studio shoot
We offer both types of photoshoot. If you have a location that you are particularly fond of we can organise the photo shoot there. We can also offer you lots of advice on locations during your consultancy.
The studios we use all have different vibes and looks, so depending on the style of the shoot you want we select the relevant studio for your shoot.
Can I trust your make up artist?
In short yes. The amount, style and type of make up used and applied is entirely dependent on you and the look you're after. We usually start with a less is more approach and only add if needed to create a certain look.
I have very sensitive skin, can you accommodate this?
Absolutely, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible and if you are nervous or concerned about products you don't know being used on your skin we won't use them. This will all be discussed with you prior to your photo shoot to ensure you feel at ease and fabulous on the day
